Painting & Decorating in Berlin

Coatings, wallpapering and surface finishing for offices, commercial and residential properties — scheduled around your build programme.

Scope of work

What painting and decorating with ENAS covers

ENAS coordinates painting and decorating as part of renovation, fit-out and modernisation projects in Berlin. Painting work requiring trade authorisation is carried out by appropriately qualified and authorised contractors. The scope may include priming, jointing at transitions, and painting walls and ceilings in the required colour and finish.

For high-traffic areas such as corridors, staircases or reception zones, scrub-resistant coatings can be specified to make later cleaning easier. Moisture-resistant coatings are selected for wet rooms where appropriate.

The coordinated scope can also include wallpapering — from lining paper to non-woven wallpaper and textured wall coverings — as well as colour-matching door frames, window sills and other timber elements. On refurbishment projects, existing coatings and substrates are prepared appropriately before the new finish is applied.

For commercial properties with corporate design requirements, we match colours precisely to RAL or NCS references and document the codes used for future touch-ups. All areas are covered and protected before work begins, so floors, furniture and fittings stay clean.

Who it's for

Property owners, landlords and businesses

Painting and decorating within an ENAS project can follow drywall or refurbishment work, prepare a property for a tenant change, or apply defined colour and surface requirements to commercial premises. Staircases and common areas can also be included in the agreed scope.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about painting and decorating

What affects the cost of painting and decorating?

Key factors include the area, condition and absorbency of the substrate, required protection and preparation, and the specified finish. Cracks, old coatings, numerous edges or colour changes increase the work involved. Ceiling height, access and out-of-hours working also matter, so the quotation is based on the actual condition and agreed scope.

What preparation is needed before repainting?

The substrate must be sound, clean, dry and suitable for the selected coating system. Depending on its condition, preparation can include protecting adjacent areas, cleaning, removing loose layers, filling, sanding and priming. The required steps are confirmed after inspecting the surfaces, allowing the finish to be planned on a stable base.

Can decorating work be coordinated in occupied commercial premises?

Work can be divided into sections and scheduled for agreed time windows where areas can be accessed and protected safely. Drying times, odour, furniture and operational routes all need to be considered. Whether work can proceed alongside normal operations depends on the room size, coating system and use of neighbouring areas.

Who carries out painting work that requires trade authorisation?

ENAS offers and manages painting and decorating as part of the wider fit-out or renovation project, carrying out work directly where legally permitted and once any required registrations are in place. Work requiring specific trade authorisation is carried out by appropriately qualified and authorised contractors. The scope and responsibilities are agreed transparently before work begins.
