Flooring Installation in Berlin

Floor coverings for offices, commercial properties and residential complexes — selected for how the space is used and the loads it must withstand.

Scope of work

What flooring installation with ENAS covers

The choice of flooring depends on how a space is used, the load it carries, and the look you want. Depending on the floor type, work is delivered by ENAS or by appropriately qualified and authorised contractors. This applies in particular to parquet work and other specialist subfloor or flooring systems. The project scope can include vinyl and design flooring, carpet tiles, laminate and parquet together with the required subfloor preparation.

For heavily used office and commercial space, we mostly use robust design flooring or carpet tiles with a suitable wear rating, which can also be replaced individually. Residential properties often use parquet or laminate, while wet rooms get moisture-resistant flooring with a slip-resistant surface.

Transitions between different floor coverings and rooms are finished with matching transition profiles, and skirting boards are colour-matched to the floor or wall. During installation, we account for expansion gaps and allow the material to acclimatise properly, so the flooring doesn't warp or the joints open up later.

Before laying new flooring, we remove and dispose of the existing covering where required. Installation is coordinated closely with the other trades, so flooring and drywall work don't get in each other's way.

Who it's for

Developers, office tenants and homeowners

Flooring installation from ENAS suits developers fitting out new space, office tenants adapting a property before moving in, and homeowners or property managers renovating individual units or common areas. For commercial space in ongoing use, we install flooring outside business hours so operations are not interrupted.

From measurement to finished floor

After the site visit, we survey the space and advise on suitable flooring. The quote sets out material, installation method and schedule. Installation follows subfloor preparation, and handover documents the finished result.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about flooring installation

What determines the cost of flooring installation?

The main factors are floor area, covering type, installation method and condition of the substrate. Removing and disposing of existing flooring, levelling, skirting, numerous cuts or transitions add work. Commercial spaces may also require greater durability and tightly managed downtime. A site survey provides the basis for a property-specific calculation.

Which floor coverings suit commercial premises?

Selection depends on footfall, cleaning requirements, acoustics, moisture and the intended design. Options can include design or vinyl flooring, carpet tiles, laminate and parquet, depending on the space. The visible covering is only one part of the decision: substrate, build-up height and junctions with adjacent floors must suit the chosen system.

Why must the subfloor be checked before installation?

The substrate must be sufficiently level, sound, clean and compatible with the selected installation system. Uneven areas, adhesive residue, cracks or moisture can affect the completed floor. The inspection establishes whether cleaning, removal of old layers, repairs or levelling are needed and how thresholds and adjoining finishes should be handled.

Who carries out specialist or trade-authorised flooring work?

Depending on the floor type and build-up, ENAS carries out legally permitted work directly or coordinates appropriately qualified contractors. This applies particularly to parquet work requiring trade authorisation and specialist substrate or flooring systems. Materials, execution, interfaces and responsibilities are agreed for the project before installation starts.
